Reece Christopher Buxton was born on 28th July, weighing in at 8 pounds 7 ounces. Both
Kerrie and Reece (and Stephen) are doing well and Reece's brother is apparantly delighted.

Welcome to David Baxter and Luke Smith who are now full members having successfully completed their auditions at the meeting on 5th May.

Members Stephen Buxton and Luke Smith appeared on BBC Radio WM on Easter Monday talking about the Leamington and Warwick Magic Society's Junior Section. Both Stephen and Luke astonished the two presenters with some clever trickery. Well done to both of them.

The funeral of popular member Danny Jones who died on 24th February, took place at Canley Crematorium on Friday 5th March. Many friends from the Leamington and Warwick Magic Society and Coventry Magic Circle attended. A feature article appeared in the Coventry Telegraph about Danny's life and charitable work with magic.

We are sorry to report that Billy Wells – Life member, performer, inventor, author – and wonderful person – passed away on 6th February. He is perhaps best remembered for his Bullet Catch effect which he performed with Stewart Williams and which has been written up for posterity in Billy’s book “Without a Wand”. Whilst he has not been able to attend meetings for some years due to his condition, Billy will be missed by many members. There is to be no funeral but cards can be sent to his widow Betty at 6 South Terrace, Whitnash, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire CV31 2HY. A full page write-up appeared in The Leamington Courier on 13th February. Rest in Peace Billy and thanks for the memories.
